“2010 - 2011 Winter Fashion Trends” As winter approaches we move more away from our fall in-betweens and closer to our cozy weather wardrobe. One of the key essentials for winter wardrobe 2011 is layers. From chunky knits to leather and lace. This winter is all about pairing chic looks with warm ensembles to create a fashion forward look. Fur is also very trendy this winter and can be seen in a number of items from boots to vests, and of course featured on trims of coats, but one surprising take this winter is the use of bright colors. From bright purples, to reds and yellows, bright hues ruled the runway and they showcased an extremely modern look in winter fashion.
Military details are still a strong trend to love. From distressed combat boots to faded khaki’s and rounded shoulders. Play this trend up with basic military colors of olives or taupes, or step over to denim for a fresh take on the military trend. My favorite piece this winter is the cape coat since it’s perfect for keeping warm, for layering, and I can hide fashionable pieces underneath.
